Destrehan Plantation Hosts 44th Annual Fall Festival

Destrehan, LA (Sept.29, 2015)- Destrehan Plantation, a New Orleans Plantation Country Attraction, is hosting its 44th Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival November 14th-15th. Top arts and crafts vendors will offer artwork, jewelry, candles, antiques, and more on the grounds of the historic property. Authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine including gumbo, jambalaya, and pralines will be on the menu. Kids can enjoy pony rides and face painting activities. Guides in period costumes will continuously conduct tours of the 18th Century plantation home throughout the festival.

The Destrehan Plantation Fall Festival is the major fundraiser for the non-profit River Road Historical Society, which operates Destrehan Plantation. Festival goers can experience first- hand the growth of this premier attraction through the yearly event.

Admission to the festival is $7 for those over 12 and free for those 12 and under. Tours of the home are offered at a special festival rate of $5.00.
