Centuries ago, settlers from a handful of European countries began to populate the area that now makes up New Orleans Plantation Country. As a result, the parishes in our part of the state are home to some of the most charming and historic churches in Louisiana.  You’ll also find dozens of fascinating, old cemeteries in Louisiana and cemeteries in New Orleans, where some of the area’s earliest residents found their final resting places.
